Tesla has officially launched the Model Y L six-seat SUV in China, offering customers a new variant of this popular electric vehicle. Priced starting at RMB 339,000 ($47,180), the Model Y L is now available for purchase in China with deliveries expected to begin in September.

The Model Y L comes with impressive specifications, including a CLTC range of 751 kilometers and the ability to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in just 4.5 seconds. This six-seat variant measures 4,976 mm in length, 1,920 mm in width, and 1,668 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,040 mm.

Equipped with an 82.0-kWh ternary battery pack from LG Energy Solution, the Model Y L features a lightweight body weighing 2,088 kilograms. It boasts an energy consumption of just 12.8 kWh per 100 kilometers and a drag coefficient of Cd 0.216.

In terms of design, the Model Y L offers a new golden paint option, new 19-inch wheels, and the ability to independently fold down the second and third rows of seats with electric controls. The front two rows of seats feature ventilation and seat heating, providing comfort for passengers.

Additionally, the Model Y L comes with an upgraded Tesla Audio sound system, featuring 18 Tesla-designed speakers and a subwoofer for a premium audio experience. Customers in China can take advantage of a 3-year interest-free financing option with a down payment of RMB 99,900, or a 5-year low-interest financing option with a down payment of RMB 45,900.

To sweeten the deal, Tesla is currently offering a RMB 8,000 discount on paid paint options for the six-seat Model Y variant. This new offering aims to cater to customers looking for a spacious and luxurious electric SUV in the Chinese market.
