Exciting News: BYD’s Denza N9 SUV Set to Launch in March

On February 2nd, the General Manager of BYD’s Denza brand, Zhao Changjiang, made a thrilling announcement in a video on social media confirming the upcoming launch of the Denza N9 model in March. The highly anticipated SUV has already begun to make appearances at dealerships in China and is scheduled for pre-sales in February.

BYD officials have revealed that test drives of the Denza N9 will be available starting in mid-February, with the SUV expected to be fully available in all dealerships in the following week.

The latest updates on the Denza N9 include an increase in the hybrid model’s pure electric range, now exceeding 200 km compared to the previously announced 165 km range. The initial release of the Denza N9 will feature the plug-in hybrid version, with the pure electric variant set to follow.

Positioned as a full-size SUV, the Denza N9 boasts impressive dimensions, measuring 5,258 mm in length, 2,030 mm in width, and 1,830 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,125 mm. Built on BYD’s e3 platform, the N9 is expected to offer advanced features such as tank turning, crab walking, and rear-wheel steering.

The PHEV variant of the Denza N9 is powered by a 152 kW engine and three electric motors with power outputs of 200 kW, 240 kW, and 240 kW, resulting in a combined power of 680 kW.

Inside the Denza N9, BYD has showcased a luxurious and high-tech interior, featuring three large screens, a HUD heads-up display, a multi-function steering wheel, and a retractable sound system. The SUV also comes equipped with an electronic gear shifter, dual wireless charging panels, a ceiling-mounted display, a refrigerator, dual independent second-row seats, and a panoramic sunroof.

In addition, a drone version of the Denza N9 has been unveiled and received approval from China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) in December of last year.

The Denza N9 was previously spotted in London, UK, undergoing testing without camouflage. With talks of expanding the Denza brand to Europe, the launch of the Denza N9 marks a significant milestone for the brand in China and sets the stage for potential international expansion.
