Chinese electric vehicle (EV) startup Rox Motor has made significant strides in the EV market, with the recent delivery of its 10,000th car to a lucky owner in the UAE. The company, founded in January 2021, has been gaining momentum since the launch of its first model, the Rox 01, in August 2023.
The Rox 01, an extended-range electric vehicle (EREV), has been well-received in the market, with a starting price of RMB 299,900 ($41,280) in China. The company aims to compete with other EV models, such as Li Auto’s Li L8, and has set its sights on becoming the preferred new energy vehicle (NEV) brand for outdoor enthusiasts worldwide by 2030.
Rox Motor has ambitious plans for the future, with the announcement that it will launch one all-new model every year from 2025 to 2027. This commitment to innovation and expansion underscores the company’s dedication to staying at the forefront of the EV industry.
In April, Rox Motor delivered 1,128 vehicles, marking a 6.82 percent increase from the previous month. The company’s cumulative deliveries have now surpassed the 10,000-unit milestone, a significant achievement for a relatively new player in the market.
Unlike many local EV makers, Rox Motor is focusing more on overseas markets, with a recent entry into the Saudi market and the delivery of its 10,000th car to a UAE owner. This global approach sets Rox Motor apart from its competitors and positions the company for continued growth and success in the EV industry.
The Rox 01 is currently on display at the 2025 Shanghai auto show, where visitors can experience the cutting-edge technology and design that sets Rox Motor apart from the competition. With a commitment to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction, Rox Motor is poised to make a significant impact in the EV market in the coming years.
