BYD’s luxury brand Denza has officially unveiled its latest offering, the N9, targeting the competitive large luxury SUV market. The hybrid SUV was showcased at an event in Shenzhen, featuring two variants with attractive starting prices of RMB 389,800 and RMB 449,800.

The Denza N9, a six-seat flagship model, boasts impressive dimensions with a length of 5,258 mm, width of 2,030 mm, height of 1,830 mm, and a wheelbase of 3,125 mm. These specifications place it in direct competition with rivals such as Li Auto’s Li L9 and Aito’s M9, which also offer luxury SUV options in a similar price range.

Powered by BYD’s advanced e3 technology, the Denza N9 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds, showcasing its impressive performance capabilities. The e3 technology, a derivative of BYD’s e4 technology for ultra-luxury vehicles, incorporates three independent electric motors and rear-wheel steering for enhanced driving dynamics.

Equipped with a 2.0 T engine delivering a maximum power of 152 kW, the Denza N9 features a total motor power of 680 kW. The model is fitted with a 47-kWh battery pack, offering a CLTC battery range of 200 kilometers. With a combined range exceeding 1,300 kilometers when fully charged and fueled, the N9 ensures a seamless driving experience.

The Denza N9 also comes equipped with BYD’s innovative DiSus-A body control system, incorporating air suspension for high-end models. The smart driving system includes BYD’s God’s Eye B technology and the DiPilot 300 solution, featuring advanced hardware such as LiDAR, radars, ultrasonic sensors, and cameras for enhanced autonomous driving capabilities.

In addition to the N9, Denza’s current lineup includes the N7 SUV and D9 MPV, catering to a diverse range of customer preferences. The brand has seen significant growth in vehicle deliveries, with 8,513 units delivered in February alone, marking an 85.15 percent year-on-year increase.

With a commitment to selling over 300,000 vehicles in 2025, Denza continues to innovate and expand its product portfolio to meet the evolving demands of the luxury SUV market. The launch of the N9 reaffirms the brand’s position as a key player in the premium automotive segment, offering cutting-edge technology and performance in a competitive package.
