Denza, the premium new energy vehicle (NEV) brand of BYD (HKG: 1211, OTCMKTS: BYDDY), has unveiled its product roadmap for 2025 with the introduction of new models. According to an executive at the company, the Denza N9 SUV is set to be launched in the first quarter of the year, followed by a new MPV model that will be larger and more powerful than the current D9 MPV.

The N9 SUV, which has been teased since October 2024, is expected to feature BYD’s e3 technology, a scaled-down version of the e⁴ technology designed for ultra-luxury vehicles. This technology includes tri-motor independent drive with dual-motor independent steering at the rear wheels, offering enhanced performance and driving dynamics.

With a length of 5,258 mm, width of 2,030 mm, and height of 1,830 mm, the Denza N9 is a six-seat hybrid vehicle with a wheelbase of 3,125 mm. It is powered by three electric motors, including a front motor with 200 kW peak power and two rear motors with 240 kW each. In addition, it features a 1,995 ml engine producing 152 kW of power output.

On the other hand, the D9 MPV, which was introduced in August 2022 and recently updated for 2025, has been a successful model for Denza. The brand delivered a record 15,059 vehicles in December, bringing total sales for 2024 to 126,035 units. The D9 has consistently sold around 10,000 units per month over the past two years.

Looking ahead, Denza plans to invest more in research and development in 2025, focusing on areas such as artificial intelligence (AI) and the development of larger vehicle models. The brand’s commitment to innovation and technological advancement is evident in its product lineup, which continues to set new standards in the NEV market.
