BYD, a leading electric vehicle manufacturer, has recently introduced the Sealion 07 EV in Norway, rebranded locally as the Sealion 7. This electric SUV was initially launched in other European markets earlier this month, marking BYD’s continued expansion into the global electric vehicle market.

The Sealion 7 is now one of seven models offered by BYD in Norway, with other models bearing local names such as Seal U, Seal, Dolphin, Tang, Atto 3, and Han. Pricing for the Sealion 7 starts at NOK 469,900 ($42,150) in Norway, making it an attractive option for environmentally-conscious consumers in the region.

This electric SUV is part of BYD’s e-Platform 3.0 Evo, an upgraded version of the e-Platform 3.0 that was introduced in China earlier this year. In China, the Sealion 07 EV is available in four different variants, with prices starting at RMB 189,800 ($26,220). The model offers a sleek design, advanced technology, and impressive performance, making it a popular choice among electric vehicle enthusiasts.

BYD showcased the Sealion 07 EV at the Paris auto show in France, generating significant interest among local consumers. The official launch of the model in Europe took place in Frankfurt, Germany, with deliveries expected to begin in 2025. This expansion into international markets reflects BYD’s commitment to establishing a strong presence in the global electric vehicle industry.

In October, BYD reported impressive sales figures, with over 500,000 new energy vehicles (NEVs) sold, including both passenger and commercial vehicles. The Sealion series, in particular, saw a significant increase in sales, demonstrating the market demand for high-quality electric vehicles.

Looking ahead, BYD is set to enter the South Korean passenger car market in 2025, further expanding its reach and solidifying its position as a key player in the global automotive industry. With a strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and customer satisfaction, BYD continues to lead the way in the development and production of cutting-edge electric vehicles.

Overall, the launch of the Sealion 7 in Norway represents a significant milestone for BYD and underscores the company’s commitment to driving the transition towards a greener, more sustainable future. As demand for electric vehicles continues to grow worldwide, BYD remains at the forefront of this exciting industry, offering innovative solutions and top-quality products to meet the evolving needs of consumers.
