BYD, a leading Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) maker, is set to unveil its highly anticipated Super e-Platform on March 17. This groundbreaking platform will not only introduce a new battery electric vehicle (BEV) technology but also showcase ultra-fast charging capabilities that surpass even Tesla’s latest Supercharger.

The launch event for the BYD Super e-Platform will take place at the company’s headquarters in Shenzhen, where pre-sales of the Han L sedan and Tang L SUV will also commence. The platform promises to revolutionize pure electric technology, offering innovative solutions to enhance the EV user experience.

One of the most exciting features of the Super e-Platform is the ultra-fast charging technology, capable of delivering up to 1,000 kW of power. This cutting-edge technology is expected to enable EVs to be charged as quickly as traditional gasoline cars can be refueled. With a charging power twice that of Tesla’s V4 Supercharger, BYD is setting a new standard in the electric vehicle industry.

Images of BYD’s supercharger have already started circulating on Chinese social media, showcasing its impressive specifications. Supporting charging voltages of up to 1,000 volts and charging power of up to 1,000 kW, this supercharger has the potential to charge a 100-kWh battery pack in just 10 minutes. Compared to mainstream superchargers with peak powers ranging from 200 kW to 400 kW, BYD’s ultra-fast charging technology is a game-changer.

In addition to the advanced technology, BYD will also introduce the Han L sedan and Tang L SUV based on the Super e-Platform. These models are expected to support charging power of up to 1,000 kW, offering high-performance capabilities and fast-charging convenience. Equipped with ultra-high-power motors, the Han L and Tang L boast impressive acceleration speeds and powerful performance.

The Han L and Tang L models have already generated excitement since their preview earlier this year, with regulatory filings revealing their exceptional specifications. Featuring dual motors with peak powers of 230 kW and 580 kW, these vehicles can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in record times. With sleek designs and cutting-edge technology, the Han L and Tang L are set to redefine the electric vehicle market.

Overall, BYD’s upcoming Super e-Platform launch represents a major milestone in the EV industry, showcasing the company’s commitment to innovation and sustainability. With advanced technology, ultra-fast charging capabilities, and high-performance models, BYD is poised to lead the way in the electric vehicle revolution. Stay tuned for more updates on this groundbreaking event.
