BYD Launches BYD Yuan UP Smart Driving Edition with Advanced Features

Shanghai (Gasgoo) – BYD recently introduced the Smart Driving edition of the popular BYD Yuan UP model at its intelligence strategy launch event on February 10. The new edition offers three variants, with prices starting from 99,800 yuan and going up to 119,800 yuan.

The exterior design of the Yuan UP Smart Driving edition showcases BYD’s “LOONG FACE” aesthetics language, featuring a closed-off grille design, smoked headlights, and a distinctive floating roof with bright colors. The raised lines on the hood add a sporty touch to the overall look of the vehicle.

On the side profile, the Yuan UP Smart Driving edition flaunts a flat roof design with a roof rack and shark fin antenna, creating the illusion of a floating roof. The continuous waistline, recessed door handles, and raised black trim on the wheel arches and side skirts enhance the vehicle’s powerful appearance. The simple yet stylish five-spoke wheels complete the side profile.

At the rear, the Yuan UP Smart Driving edition comes equipped with a small spoiler, high-mounted brake light, smoked full-width taillights, and a striking black trim on the lower bumper area. The silver-gray anti-scrape panel adds a touch of sophistication to the design.

Measuring 4,310 mm in length, 1,830 mm in width, and 1,675 mm in height with a wheelbase of 2,620 mm, the Yuan UP Smart Driving edition is positioned as a compact SUV.

Inside the cabin, the model features a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, a fully liquid crystal instrument panel, a floating central control screen, and a crystal-style electronic gear shifter. The spacious storage compartment in front of the gear lever also offers wireless phone charging capabilities.

One of the standout features of the Yuan UP Smart Driving edition is the God’s Eye C (DiPilot 100) smart driving system, which includes five millimeter-wave radars, 12 cameras, and 12 ultrasonic radars. This system supports HD map-free highway and urban expressway navigate on autopilot (HNOA) and comes standard with automated valet parking (AVP) function across all variants, accommodating over 300 parking scenarios.

In terms of power, the Yuan UP Smart Driving edition offers two electric motor options: 70 kW and 130 kW, with peak torques of 180 Nm and 290 Nm, respectively. With the CTB (Cell-to-Body) integrated battery technology, the model offers two range versions: 301 km and 401 km.

Overall, the BYD Yuan UP Smart Driving edition offers a blend of advanced features, stylish design elements, and innovative technology, making it a compelling choice in the compact SUV segment.
