Changan Automobile logs 5.72% YoY rise in Feb. 2025 auto sales

Changan Automobile Reports 5.72% Year-on-Year Increase in February 2025 Auto Sales

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chinese automaker Chongqing Changan Automobile Co., Ltd. (“Changan Automobile”) announced on March 4 its monthly sales performance in the February 2025. In the past month, the automaker sold 161,435 vehicles in total, representing a 5.72% rise year-on-year.

In the first two months of this year, the company’s cumulative sales volume stood at 437,135 vehicles, up 0.94% from that of a year ago.

In the second months of this year, Changan Automobile’s wholly-owned brands sold 377,864 vehicles. Among which, 287,207 units were passenger vehicles. For overseas markets, Changan Automobile moved 109,537 vehicles in total.

Of the vehicles sold in February, 107,137 units were new energy vehicles, accounting for 24.5% of the total sales.

As to Changan Automobile’s joint venture brands, Changan Ford sold 11,991 vehicles in February, down 8.96% year-over-year. In the same period, Changan Mazda saw a 3.94% decline from the year-ago period with 3,800 vehicles sold last month.

Starting from 2025, Changan Automobile plans to accelerate the transformation of all its factories into super factories, planning to establish eight new factories that meet super factory standards over the next five years. The company is also advancing its “One Body, Two Wings” AI development strategy, aiming to enhance efficiency in providing quality products and services through AI-driven R&D, supply, production, marketing, and service systems.
