Changan KAICHENG Secures Series A Funding to Accelerate Growth

Changan KAICHENG, the commercial vehicle brand of Changan Automobile, recently announced the successful completion of its Series A financing round, raising over 2 billion yuan. The signing ceremony took place at the Changan Global R&D Center on January 21, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s capital market journey.

As a key player in Changan Automobile’s commercial vehicle strategy, KAICHENG is set to focus on electrification, intelligence, pickup development, and globalization strategies. The brand aims to position itself as a leading smart new energy commercial vehicle brand, with aspirations to become a world-class player in the commercial vehicle sector.

With the newly secured capital, Changan KAICHENG has outlined a series of initiatives to drive growth. The company plans to introduce over six new energy vehicle (NEV) models by 2025, expanding its presence in the light-duty commercial NEV market. Additionally, KAICHENG aims to launch four NEV models across three product lines for pickup trucks by 2028, further strengthening its product portfolio.

Looking to the future, Changan KAICHENG has set ambitious targets for global expansion. The brand aims to achieve total sales of 600,000 units by 2030, with overseas markets accounting for 50% of the volume. This underscores KAICHENG’s commitment to international growth and establishing a strong presence in global markets.

The Series A funding round and the strategic initiatives outlined by Changan KAICHENG demonstrate the brand’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and growth in the commercial vehicle sector. With a focus on electrification and intelligent technologies, KAICHENG is poised to become a key player in the evolving landscape of smart new energy vehicles.
