Chery Holding Continues Strong Sales Momentum in January 2025

Chinese automaker Chery Holding has started off the year on a high note, with the release of its first monthly sales report for 2025 showcasing impressive numbers. In January, the company sold a total of 224,323 vehicles, representing a 10.3% year-on-year increase. This achievement marks the sixth consecutive month that Chery has exceeded the 200,000 unit mark in monthly sales.

Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. (Chery Automobile) led the pack with 221,834 vehicles sold, reflecting an 11% growth compared to the previous year. The group’s new energy vehicle sales also saw a remarkable surge, reaching 56,901 units and marking a substantial 172.1% year-on-year increase.

Despite facing challenges such as fewer working days in January due to the early Chinese New Year holiday, Chery outperformed the broader market. The China Passenger Car Association (CPCA) had predicted a 14.6% decline in passenger vehicle sales for the month, making Chery’s performance even more noteworthy.

Chery Holding’s major passenger car brands all experienced impressive growth in January. The Chery brand sold 129,553 vehicles, while the EXEED brand moved 5,804 units. The JETOUR brand saw sales of 58,162 vehicles, and the iCAR new energy vehicle brand sold 7,853 units. Notably, the LUXEED brand, which benefits from Huawei’s technology, recorded sales of 13,000 vehicles during the same period.

The company’s commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction has clearly paid off, as evidenced by its consistent sales success month after month. With a diverse lineup of vehicles catering to different market segments, Chery Holding continues to solidify its position as a key player in the automotive industry.
