DEEPAL, the new energy vehicle brand under Changan Automobile, made a significant announcement on November 1st regarding its October deliveries. A total of 27,862 vehicles were delivered in October alone, bringing the cumulative deliveries for the first ten months of the year to 171,281 vehicles.

In October, DEEPAL saw a surge in vehicle orders, reaching a monthly high of 36,277 units. This increase in demand was spread across the brand’s five models: SL03, S07, G318, L07, and the latest addition, the S05.

The DEEPAL S05, which was officially launched on October 20th with a starting price of 119,900 yuan, began large-scale deliveries simultaneously. Within the first 10 days of its market debut, the S05 received over 10,000 orders, showcasing its popularity among consumers.

One of the standout features of the S05 is its unique “Interstellar Wing” design, which includes elements such as a closed front grille, double waistlines, hidden door handles, aerodynamic wheels, and a full-width rear light bar. The interior of the S05 is equally impressive, with adaptive smart headlights, entertainment options like outdoor KTV and stargazing cinema, and a 120-inch display with two 25W external speakers for projection gaming. Additional features include dynamic lighting welcome sequences and intelligent ambient lighting.

When it comes to powertrain options, the DEEPAL S05 offers both a fully electric and a range-extended variant. The range-extended model boasts a fuel efficiency of 4.35L/100km, a battery-powered range of 200km, and a combined range of 1,234km. On the other hand, the fully electric version, equipped with CATL’s battery, provides a range of 510km and supports 3C fast charging. Both options deliver a peak torque of 320 Nm and offer a 6kW external power output.
