FAW Group Achieves Record Export Volume in 2024, Up 36.2% Year-on-Year

In a recent announcement, FAW Group, a prominent Chinese automaker, disclosed that it had successfully exported approximately 125,000 vehicles in 2024, marking a significant 36.2% increase compared to the previous year.

The company’s three key brands—Hongqi, Jiefang, and Bestune—experienced substantial growth in their global operations during the period.

Hongqi’s Global Expansion and Emphasis on Luxury Segment

Hongqi, known for its luxury vehicles, intensified its presence in high-potential markets, positioning itself as a leading Chinese luxury brand worldwide. The brand introduced two new energy vehicle (NEV) models in Europe, bolstering its international reputation and brand influence.

FAW Jiefang’s Robust Growth and International Strategy

FAW Jiefang, the commercial vehicle division, sustained strong growth for the fourth consecutive year, driven by its diverse product range and extensive service network. The brand now exports to over 80 countries, including Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Latin America, Africa, and Eastern Europe.

The recent launch of the “SPRINT2030” internationalization strategy by Jiefang aims to accelerate globalization across various business aspects, including research, production, supply, sales, services, finance, and ecosystem development.

Bestune’s Focus on NEV Market and Global Expansion

FAW Group’s passenger vehicle brand, Bestune, concentrated on opportunities in the NEV market, expanding its global sales network and venturing into Southeast Asia and Latin America in 2024. The brand diversified its export models to include complete vehicles, KD kits, and used cars, reaching customers in 20 countries.

Global Presence and Expansion

FAW Group currently operates in 97 countries, supported by 170 primary overseas agents and 24 assembly plants worldwide, including facilities in South Africa, Tanzania, and Mexico.
