Mazda Unveils New Electric SUV: The Mazda EZ-60
Amidst the increasing demand for electric vehicles, Mazda has introduced its latest addition to the electric car market – the Mazda EZ-60. This new SUV boasts a powerful 254bhp motor and a battery pack that offers an impressive 345 miles between charges, providing drivers with both performance and range.
Building on the design language of the Mazda 6e, the EZ-60 features sleek LED daytime-running lights positioned above the main-beam headlights, giving it a modern and sophisticated look. The front bumper is accentuated by a prominent chin spoiler, while a distinct shoulder line adds to its angular appearance.
Stepping inside the EZ-60, you’ll be greeted by a spacious cabin equipped with a massive 26.45-inch infotainment screen that spans the width of the dashboard. A head-up display projects essential information directly in front of the driver, ensuring a seamless driving experience. The traditional side mirrors have been replaced with rear-view cameras, with screens conveniently mounted on the doors for easy viewing.
While Mazda has not yet confirmed whether the EZ-60 will be available in the UK, it would undoubtedly enhance the brand’s presence in the electric vehicle market, especially in the popular SUV segment. The company has already announced plans to launch the electric saloon in the UK earlier this year, demonstrating its commitment to sustainable mobility.
Looking ahead, Mazda is set to introduce another electric SUV, developed independently and featuring batteries co-designed with Panasonic. This upcoming model, expected to debut alongside the next generation of the Mazda CX-5, will be manufactured in Japan, showcasing Mazda’s dedication to innovation and electrification.
