GAC Group Expands Presence in North Africa with New Showroom in Benghazi

GAC Group, a leading automotive manufacturer, recently celebrated the grand opening of its new dealership showroom in Benghazi, Libya. This marks a significant milestone in the company’s expansion efforts in the North African market.

During the inauguration ceremony, GAC announced two major strategic partnerships that will help strengthen its presence in the region. The first partnership is with Al Ahly Ly SC, one of Libya’s top football clubs. This collaboration will focus on joint brand building and sports marketing initiatives. The club’s president and players were in attendance at the event, where the GAC M8 vehicle was officially handed over. The MPV will serve as the designated VIP reception vehicle for the club, marking the beginning of this exciting partnership.

Additionally, GAC renewed its agreement with SIXT, a global car rental platform, to further enhance its presence in Libya’s premium mobility segment. As part of this partnership, several GAC M8 vehicles equipped with advanced smart technologies will be added to SIXT’s local fleet, providing high-quality transportation solutions for both personal and business users.

The opening of the showroom in Benghazi is a key component of GAC’s “One GAC 2.0” global strategy, with a specific focus on expanding into the African market. This new facility represents a significant step towards localizing operations and establishing a sustainable ecosystem on the continent. By leveraging sports marketing, local service networks, and strategic partnerships, GAC aims to create a more adaptive and deeply rooted operating model in Africa, bringing its brand closer to local customers.
