GAC International Expands Presence in Europe with New Office in Amsterdam
GAC International, a leading automotive company, recently inaugurated its Europe office in Amsterdam, marking a significant step towards expanding its market presence in Europe. The new office will serve as a strategic hub for the company’s operations in the region, focusing on market expansion, brand promotion, and sales services.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Jin Yuan, Economic and Commercial Counselor at the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Kingdom of the Netherlands, who highlighted the strategic importance of the Netherlands as Europe’s gateway. He emphasized the strong partnership between China and the Netherlands and expressed optimism about GAC Group’s role in driving the energy transition and green development in the country.
Thomas Schemera, Global Chief Operating Officer of GAC International, underscored the company’s commitment to the European market, citing the successful launch of its brand and models at the Paris Motor Show in 2024. The opening of the Europe office represents a significant milestone in GAC International’s long-term vision of integrating into and contributing to the European market.
GAC’s presence in Europe dates back to its debut at the Paris Motor Show in 2018, followed by the establishment of a design center in Milan and a headquarters in the Netherlands. The company’s focus on local operations and talent development underscores its commitment to adaptability and competitiveness in the European market.
This year, GAC unveiled its “European Market Plan” at the Paris Motor Show, introducing the AION V as its first global strategic model for European consumers. The company plans to expand its product lineup in Europe with the introduction of a B-segment SUV and a B-segment hatchback in the next two years.
