The GAC Hyptec HL 5.1-meter electric SUV has been unveiled in official images ahead of its premiere at the Guangzhou Auto Show 2024 on November 15. This flagship crossover features a hidden interactive light panel in the front end, dual-motor 4WD, and is built on the 800V platform.

Hyptec is an electric brand under the GAC Group that was launched in 2023 with a focus on international markets. Previously known as “Hyper,” the brand was rebranded as Hyptec in August 2024. The Hyptec lineup includes the GT sedan, HT fatback SUV, and SSR sports car, with the HL flagship crossover being the latest addition set to debut at the Guangzhou Auto Show 2024.

The official images of the Hyptec HL showcase its elongated body with a low beltline, flat roof with LiDAR sensor, retractable door handles, multi-spoke 21-inch rims, and a unique single taillight unit. The front end features two-storey headlights with LED running lights and integrated high beams in the front bumper. One of the standout features of the Hyptec HL is the hidden interactive LED panel in the front end, allowing the driver to project text and simple images.

The Hyptec HL boasts a body length of 5126 mm and a wheelbase of 3088 mm, offering a spacious interior with a 2 + 2 + 2 seating layout. While official images of the interior have not been released, spy shots give a glimpse of the cabin design.

Built on the 800V high-voltage platform, the Hyptec HL is equipped for 5C fast charging, delivering five times the charging power of its capacity. The flagship SUV will offer an optional dual-motor 4WD configuration, air suspension, and an AI-powered ADIGO 6.0 driving assistance system.
