Gasgoo Daily: NIO’s ONVO L60 Model Set to Launch in Late September

NIO’s sub-brand, ONVO, is gearing up to release its highly anticipated ONVO L60 model in late September this year. The announcement was made by Ai Tiecheng, CEO of ONVO, during a live-streamed extreme heat test event in Turpan on July 25. The vehicle is scheduled to hit the market with deliveries starting within a week of its official launch.

NIO’s Chairman Rules Out Robotaxi Development

In a recent interview, NIO’s Chairman and CEO, William Bin Li, clarified that the company has no plans to delve into the development of autonomous taxis, also known as Robotaxis. Instead, NIO has been focusing on the research and development of assisted driving technology since 2017, prioritizing driving safety and accident prevention. Mr. Li emphasized that the goal of autonomous driving technology is to enhance driver safety and reduce fatigue, rather than replacing human drivers entirely.

New Vision Secures Strategic Financing for Auto Electronics Solutions

Chinese automotive electronics company, New Vision, has successfully closed a new round of strategic financing led by ZhongQing Capital. The funding round also saw participation from existing investor Bridge Capital, with StarBridge Capital acting as the financial advisor. New Vision specializes in developing in-car visual solutions, including innovative products such as W-HUD, AR-HUD, CMS, transparent A-pillars, and transparent window displays.
