Geely Automobile Sets New Record for Overseas Sales in First Half of 2024

The first half of 2024 has been a remarkable period for Geely Automobile Holdings Limited, with overseas sales reaching an impressive 197,428 vehicles. This marks a significant year-on-year surge of over 67%, setting new records for both sales volume and growth rate.

One of the key factors contributing to this success is the successful launch of 12 high-value models across 30 countries, including Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kazakhstan, and Panama. This has led to growth in both exports and terminal sales for the Geely brand.

Geely has also made significant strides in expanding its distribution and service network, adding over 120 new sales and service outlets globally in the first half of 2024. With more than 650 outlets now in operation across 76 countries, Geely has solidified its presence in key regions such as Europe, Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific region.

In addition, Geely has established subsidiaries in Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America, while also expanding into emerging markets such as Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, and Vietnam.

With a revised overseas sales target of 380,000 units for 2024, Geely International is focused on driving high-quality growth through market expansion, product innovation, brand integration, and global business operations.

Lynk & Co and ZEEKR Expand Overseas Presence

During the first half of 2024, the Lynk & Co brand entered new markets in Azerbaijan and the Philippines, introducing new models like the Lynk & Co 06 to its overseas lineup. New dealerships were opened in Vietnam, Azerbaijan, the Philippines, and Saudi Arabia, with a European experience center inaugurated in Madrid, Spain.

Meanwhile, ZEEKR has made significant inroads in nearly 30 major overseas markets, including Sweden, the Netherlands, UAE, and Mexico. The ZEEKR 001 and ZEEKR X models have begun deliveries overseas, with the right-hand drive ZEEKR X set for delivery in the third quarter of this year. ZEEKR has also established 27 stores overseas, including flagship centers in Stockholm and Amsterdam, along with pop-up stores in UAE and Saudi Arabia.

Geely Automobile Sets Ambitious Sales Target for 2024

With strong performance in both domestic and international markets, Geely Automobile has raised its 2024 sales target by 5% to 2 million units. In the first half of the year alone, Geely sold 955,730 vehicles, reflecting a remarkable 41% year-on-year increase.
