Geely Auto (HKG: 0175) has announced plans to introduce five new hybrid car models in the second half of 2025. The announcement was made by CEO Gan Jiayu during the company’s 2025 mid-year business conference.

The upcoming models include the Zeekr 9X SUV, Lynk & Co’s Lynk 10 EM-P sedan, Geely Galaxy A7 sedan, Geely Galaxy M9 SUV, and possibly the 8X SUV from Zeekr. These models are part of Geely’s strategy to expand its lineup of environmentally friendly vehicles.

Gan Jiayu also revealed that Geely aims to sell 3 million vehicles by the end of this year. This target represents a significant increase from the initial goal of 2.71 million vehicles, which was recently revised upwards by about 11 percent.

In the first half of 2025, Geely sold a total of 1,409,180 vehicles, marking a 47 percent year-on-year growth. The company is now looking to sell an additional 1,590,820 vehicles in the second half of the year, with an average monthly sales target of 265,137 vehicles.

The Geely brand alone sold 1,164,303 vehicles in the first half of the year, representing a 30 percent year-on-year increase. Geely Galaxy contributed significantly to this figure, with 548,408 vehicles sold in the same period.

Furthermore, Zeekr and Lynk & Co also saw positive sales growth in the first half of the year. Zeekr sold 90,740 vehicles (up by 3 percent year-on-year), while Lynk & Co sold 154,137 vehicles (up by 22 percent year-on-year).

In terms of electric vehicle sales, Geely sold 510,803 pure electric vehicles in the first half of the year, marking a substantial 173 percent year-on-year growth. Plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) also saw an increase, with 214,348 units sold (up by 61 percent year-on-year).
