Honda ZR-V Review 2025, Price & Specs

The Honda ZR-V: A Closer Look Inside

When it comes to the Honda ZR-V, the departure from the Civic template is most noticeable on the inside of the vehicle. The dashboard design remains consistent with a horizontal strip of air vents and the inclusion of physical buttons and dials for the climate control, providing a familiar and user-friendly experience.

One of the standout features of the ZR-V is the 9.0-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system. While not the largest or most high-definition display on the market, it offers convenient shortcut buttons and wireless smartphone mirroring for ease of use. The factory sat-nav system may not be the clearest, but overall, the system is simple and functional.

In terms of cabin materials, the ZR-V has received an upgrade from the Civic, with more soft-touch padding on the doors and a sculpted center console that includes additional storage space. The inclusion of metal paddles behind the steering wheel, a feature typically found in higher-end vehicles like the NSX, adds a touch of sophistication to the interior.

Despite these enhancements, some aspects of the ZR-V’s interior design may not appeal to all buyers. The driving position, while similar to the Civic, is slightly higher-set, which may not suit those looking for a traditional SUV seating arrangement. However, rear cabin space is generous, with ample legroom and headroom for passengers of all sizes.

When it comes to practicality, the ZR-V falls short in the boot department. With a capacity of 380 liters, it lags behind competitors like the Kia Sportage and Nissan Qashqai. While the boot is functional with a flat floor and a flip-up panel for added storage, the lack of Magic Seats, a feature found in other Honda models, may disappoint some buyers.

Overall, the Honda ZR-V offers a comfortable and well-equipped interior with thoughtful design touches and ample space for passengers. While it may not excel in every aspect, it strikes a balance between functionality and style that will appeal to a wide range of drivers.
