Geely Auto Group Surpasses Sales Target in 2024, Aims for 2.71 Million Units in 2025

Shanghai (Gasgoo) – Geely Auto Group, also known as the group, achieved remarkable success in 2024 by surpassing its annual sales target with a 32% year-on-year jump. The company’s Galaxy new energy vehicle (NEV) range recorded full-year sales of over 490,000 units, marking an impressive 80% surge compared to the previous year.

Looking ahead to 2025, Geely Auto has set a bold annual sales target of 2.71 million units, representing a 25% year-on-year increase. CEO Gan Jiayue recently outlined the group’s strategy to achieve this goal, focusing on three core areas: product and technology innovation, global market expansion, and diversified energy solutions.

Geely Galaxy Aims for 1 Million Annual Sales in 2025

Geely Auto’s Galaxy NEV range is targeting annual sales of 1 million vehicles in 2025 by leveraging advancements in architecture technology, full-domain AI for smart vehicles, and intelligent driving systems. The company will showcase its AI technology ecosystem at the upcoming CES 2024, featuring innovations such as the AI digital chassis, AI-enabled voice assistant, NordThor EM-i Super Hybrid system, Flyme Auto smart cockpit, and advanced intelligent driving technologies.

In the field of intelligent driving, Geely Auto plans to introduce a new computing platform to accelerate the deployment of HD map-free systems. The company will also launch a new sedan model equipped with the NordThor EM-i Super Hybrid system and release the Flyme Auto 2.0, an upgraded smart cockpit system developed with DreamSmart.

To achieve its sales target, Geely Galaxy will introduce five new models in 2025, including two SUVs and three sedans, designed for high-volume sales upon release. The company has incorporated the LEVC and RADAR brands into the group to cover all vehicle segments, including sedans, SUVs, MPVs, off-road vehicles, and pickups.

Strengthening Global Presence with Premium Smart Vehicles

Geely Auto is focused on enhancing its global competitiveness by delivering premium smart vehicles and expanding its international sales and manufacturing networks. The e.MAS7, built on Geely Galaxy’s technologies, was launched in Malaysia and quickly became a bestseller. In 2025, Geely Galaxy’s products will enter over 20 countries, including regions in Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Southeast Asia, and Latin America.

Following the e.MAS7, the Geely Xingyuan will be added to PROTON’s product lineup, and the Geely Galaxy Starship 7 will be exported to overseas markets in the second half of 2025. The company plans to add over 300 sales and service outlets worldwide in 2025, bringing its global network to more than 1,100 locations. Geely Auto will also accelerate localized manufacturing through KD assembly facilities in Indonesia, Vietnam, Central Asia, and Africa, aiming for a 15.6% growth in overseas markets sales in 2025.

Advancing Multi-Powertrain Solutions and Green Methanol Technology

With 20 years of experience in methanol-powered vehicles, Geely Auto has overcome key technical challenges and holds over 300 standards and patents in methanol technology. In 2024, the company expanded its methanol vehicle deployment to 12 provinces and 40 cities in China, achieving a 130% year-on-year sales increase.

In 2025, Geely Auto will introduce its fifth-generation methanol-electric hybrid vehicles to individual consumers in the fourth quarter. These models, available in sedan and SUV variants, can run on methanol, electricity, and gasoline with a flexible fuel mix. Featuring a groundbreaking methanol engine with the world’s highest-ever thermal efficiency of 48.15%, these vehicles also incorporate ultra-low-temperature start-up technology, enabling operation in temperatures as low as -35°C.
