Maextro, a new automotive brand created in collaboration between Chinese tech giant Huawei and Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group (JAC), has officially launched its first model targeting the ultra-luxury sedan market. The Maextro S800 was revealed at Huawei’s recent product launch event and is now available for pre-order.

Priced between RMB 1 million and RMB 1.5 million, the Maextro S800 offers a luxurious and high-end driving experience. Interested buyers can secure their reservation by paying a RMB 20,000 intention deposit. The sedan boasts impressive dimensions, measuring 5,480 mm in length, 2,000 mm in width, and 1,536 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,370 mm.

Built on Huawei’s second-generation Tuling Intelligent Chassis and designed with L3 intelligent driving architecture, the Maextro S800 promises a blend of cutting-edge technology and luxury. Richard Yu, managing director and chairman of Huawei’s smart car solutions business unit, unveiled the model at the event.

The launch event also saw the introduction of the updated Luxeed S7 electric sedan by Huawei. The Luxeed S7 comes in three variants with starting prices ranging from RMB 229,800 to RMB 319,800. Deliveries for the updated model are set to commence on December 1, offering enhanced comfort, performance, and intelligence features at a lower starting price compared to its initial launch.

Additionally, Huawei unveiled an Ultra Long Range version of the Stelato S9, priced at RMB 429,800. The Stelato S9, which was initially launched in August, targets the premium sedan market with its Max and Ultra variants.

With the introduction of the Maextro S800, Huawei expands its portfolio of automotive brands, which includes Stelato (in collaboration with BAIC Group), Aito (in partnership with Seres Group), and Luxeed (created with Chery). The Maextro S800 is positioned to compete in the luxury executive sedan market, potentially rivaling models such as the Mercedes-Benz S-Class, BMW 7-Series, Audi A8, and Nio ET9.
