Huawei, known for its wide range of electronic gadgets, is now venturing into the automotive industry by supplying its augmented reality head-up displays to various car manufacturers. The company recently unveiled its latest XHUD-AR augmented reality head-up display in China, showcasing significant improvements over the previous versions.

The XHUD-AR, which was first introduced at the IAA Mobility 2021 in Germany, now features real-time rendering capabilities. This enhancement allows the AR icons to adjust their position in real time, providing a smooth and stable image for the driver. The display offers advanced features such as adaptation to night driving conditions, warnings for blind spots, pedestrian detection, and real-time indications for lane changes, decelerations, and braking. Additionally, the XHUD-AR provides tips for obstacle avoidance maneuvers, making it a valuable tool for enhancing driving safety.

Huawei’s expansion into the automotive sector also includes collaborations with brands like Aito, Changan, and CATL, resulting in the development of innovative electric vehicles like the Avatr 11 and Avatr 12. The company is also involved in the development of charging stations, offering the powerful 600 kW Fusion charger and WeLion solid-state batteries for electric vehicles.

With its focus on cutting-edge technology and partnerships with key players in the automotive industry, Huawei is poised to establish itself as a leading supplier of high-end head-up displays for vehicles. The XHUD-AR represents the latest milestone in the company’s journey towards revolutionizing the driving experience with augmented reality technology.
