Husqvarna, a well-known brand in outdoor power products, has recently unveiled two new cutting-edge models of professional robotic lawn mowers: the 535 and AWD 580L EPOS. These robotic mowers may resemble beefed-up Roombas, but they are designed to deliver commercial-grade capability in a compact and innovative package.

The highlight of these new models is the EPOS technology, which stands for Exact Positioning Operating System. This system, developed by Husqvarna, utilizes satellite-based positioning to allow the robotic mowers to work within virtual boundaries without the need for physical boundary wires. This customizable mapping feature enables users to create custom work areas with unique schedules, cut heights, and cut patterns with an impressive accuracy of 2 cm. Additionally, users can set up temporary “stay out zones” or quickly shut down the mowers in case of emergencies.

One of the most compelling features of these robotic mowers is their ability to operate without the need for boundary wires, making them truly commercial-ready robots. The 580L EPOS model, in particular, can mow up to four acres of lawn on a single charge of its 8Ah li-ion battery and fully recharge in less than an hour.

On the consumer side, the 535 AWD model offers up to .9 acres of mowing before needing to return to its dock. This model is suitable for keeping a decently-sized rural homestead in freshly cut grass throughout the summer.

According to Dave Plaster, Vice President of Sports & Golf at Husqvarna Group, these new robotic mowers are essential for turf professionals looking to simplify their green space management. The Husqvarna Automower 535 AWD and 580L EPOS models are available for order now and will begin shipping to dealers next month, with the pricing for the 580L starting at $7,399.

As the demand for reliable autonomous turf care solutions rises, Husqvarna is expanding its professional robotic mower offerings to meet the high standards of its customers. With the introduction of these new models, Husqvarna aims to revolutionize turf management for golf courses, sports fields, and facility maintenance.

In conclusion, the new Husqvarna robotic lawn mowers offer innovative features, advanced technology, and commercial-grade capability in a compact and efficient package. With the introduction of the 535 and AWD 580L EPOS models, Husqvarna continues to lead the way in autonomous turf care solutions for both commercial and consumer applications.
