This new agreement follows an earlier strategic pact signed on April 22 between JAC Group and Huawei Digital Power in Shanghai, which would focus on advancing joint efforts in several core areas, including the development and application of new energy vehicle (NEV) models and platform technologies, co-definition and co-development of intelligent electric-drive components, collaborative manufacturing and market expansion, construction and operation of NEV charging infrastructure, ultra-fast charging technologies for heavy-duty commercial vehicles, and the global expansion of NEVs. The aim is to co-create highly competitive products that deliver an exceptional user experience while building an integrated industry ecosystem to foster the development of the NEV sector.
Building on this foundation, the latest agreement outlines the integration of Huawei’s intelligent automotive solutions into JAC’s vehicle platforms. This will include, but not be limited to, applications such as advanced driver assistance systems, intelligent cockpits, vehicle control systems, cloud connectivity, in-car lighting systems, and vehicle communications technologies.
The two sides will also collaborate on enterprise-wide digital transformation, leveraging Huawei’s strengths in AI and communications, as well as its end-to-end expertise in data governance and data circulation. The goal is to enhance AI-powered applications across JAC’s R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, sales, and service operations—enabling full lifecycle data traceability and data-driven decision-making for smarter operations.
Furthermore, the partnership will focus on promoting high-quality, green development through joint efforts in clean energy, energy digitalization, charging infrastructure, and green data centers—supporting JAC’s broader low-carbon transition strategy.
According to official statements, the signing of this agreement marks a new stage of strategic synergy between the two parties. With a focus on shared growth, both companies will leverage their respective strengths for deeper, more integrated cooperation and will establish a long-term strategic partnership. A regular technical exchange mechanism will be set up to foster resource sharing, complementary advantages, and business innovation, driving high-quality, rapid development across their collaborative efforts.
