Jetour Shanhai T1: A New Compact Plug-In Hybrid SUV

On October 27th, Jetour Shanhai T1 made its official debut, offering three variants with prices ranging from 154,800 to 174,800 yuan. Positioned as a compact plug-in hybrid SUV with a unibody construction, the T1 boasts a CLTC-rated pure electric range of 150km. Currently, only two-wheel drive versions are available, but Jetour has announced plans to launch two new models, the T5 and T7, in the future.

Exterior Design

The Jetour Shanhai T1 shares a similar design language with the Shanhai T2, with connected headlights and a unique petal-like daytime running light design. The front grille features integrated daytime running light assemblies, while the black bumper adds a touch of crossover styling.

Interior Features

Inside, the T1 offers a rugged yet refined atmosphere with a stitched dashboard and textured trim. A fully digital instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch touchscreen dominate the center console, powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip. Safety features include blind spot monitoring, autonomous emergency braking, and lane departure warning.

Powertrain and Performance

The Jetour Shanhai T1 is powered by Chery’s Kunpeng super-efficient hybrid C-DM system, featuring a 1.5TD hybrid engine with a thermal efficiency of 44.5%. The system delivers 156 hp (115 kW) and 220 Nm of torque. The two-wheel-drive variant offers a single electric motor producing 204 hp (150 kW) and 310 Nm of torque. With a CLTC pure electric range of 150 km and a combined range of 1300 km, the T1 is both efficient and versatile.

Off-Road Capability

The Jetour Shanhai T1 boasts impressive off-road capabilities, with an approach angle of 28 degrees, a departure angle of 29 degrees, a ground clearance of 200mm, and a wading depth of 600mm. The vehicle’s robust rear bumper and 1.6-ton towing capacity further enhance its versatility.

Interior Comfort and Convenience

The T1 features power-adjustable front seats with heating, ventilation, and customizable modes for exceptional comfort. The spacious cargo area can be expanded by folding down the rear seats, and a 45L underfloor storage compartment provides additional storage space. In-car amenities include a refrigerator and a projector, while the TOUR OS 2.0 system offers over 50 travel scenarios and 15,000+ travel route recommendations.

Overall, the Jetour Shanhai T1 combines rugged off-road capability with luxurious comfort and advanced technology, making it a versatile and exciting option in the compact SUV segment.
