Kia Corporation recently unveiled its latest offering, the Syros compact SUV, in the Indian market. This new model is said to redefine standards in design, technology, and interior space within the country. The South Korean automaker boasts that the Syros comes equipped with several segment-first features, including Level 2 advanced driver assist systems (ADAS), a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, and rear sliding/reclining ventilated seats.

Constructed on a reinforced K1 platform, the Syros is specifically designed to cater to the evolving preferences of India’s middle-class, urban consumers who are tech-savvy. The vehicle offers two engine options: a Smartstream 1.0L turbo petrol engine generating 120 PS power and 172 Nm torque, as well as a 1.5L CRDi diesel engine producing 116 PS power and 250 Nm torque. Both engine variants are available with manual and automatic transmission choices.

Inside the cabin, the Syros showcases Kia’s signature Star Map LED lighting and is furnished with a 76 cm Trinity Panoramic Display panel that features the company’s Connected Car Navigation Cockpit, offering over 80 connected functions. The Level 2 ADAS system of the SUV includes 16 autonomous safety features like Forward Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Keep Assist, 360 Degree Camera with Blind View Monitor, and Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go.

Gwanggu Lee, CEO of Kia India, expressed, “Kia India has always been driven by a challenger spirit, setting new benchmarks in the automotive industry with our commitment to innovation, technology, and customer-centric design. Our journey since the first launch has been nothing short of remarkable, with a growing presence across the country and a focus on delivering high-quality, aspirational vehicles. With the Syros, we are further enhancing our product portfolio, offering a new species of SUV that combines superior comfort, cutting-edge technology, and bold design.”
