Kim Long Motor and Changan Automobile have joined hands to establish a new vehicle manufacturing plant in Hue, Vietnam. The plant will be dedicated to producing Kim Long Changan Vietnam 5-7-seater passenger vehicles. Spanning over 30 hectares, the facility is designed to have an annual production capacity of 50,000 vehicles, incorporating Changan’s advanced production technology.

Construction of the plant is slated to commence in 2025, with an initial localization rate of 40%, expected to surpass 80% by mid-2026. The collaboration aims to introduce the DEEPAL brand for the Vietnamese market, with plans to unveil five models within the next three years. In addition to vehicle production, the partnership also includes the establishment of a network of 80 showrooms across the nation.

Vice-president of Changan Automobile Group, Wang Hui, expressed the significance of this partnership in Changan’s global strategy and entry into the Vietnamese market.
