The Lamborghini Revuelto: A New Era of V12 Power

The Lamborghini Revuelto is a true masterpiece of engineering, combining the raw power of a V12 engine with innovative electrification technology. The heart of the Revuelto is the new L545 V12 engine, boasting 6.5 liters of swept volume, a 60-degree angle, and an impressive 813bhp at 9250rpm. This engine is a refined version of the old L539, with new heads, induction system, and a lightened block, allowing it to rev all the way up to 9400rpm.

But what sets the Revuelto apart is its electrification. The front axle is now driven by a pair of 148bhp axial-flux motors, powered by a 3.8kWh drive battery housed in the spine of the car. This unique setup allows the V12 engine to drive the rear axle alone, resulting in pure rear-wheel drive performance.

The chassis of the Revuelto is a marvel of modern engineering. The monofuselage design allows the V12 engine to sit lower, thanks to the absence of a driveshaft running underneath it. The front subframe is made from Lamborghini’s patented ‘forged’ carbon, saving weight and increasing stiffness. The entire structure is 25% more torsionally stiff than the Aventador’s, weighing 10% less at 188kg.

One of the most significant changes in the Revuelto is the all-new dual-clutch transmission, offering superior shift quality and drivability. With a third motor-generator integrated into the gearbox, the peak system power reaches an impressive 1001bhp, making it the most powerful Lamborghini road car ever.

Technical Focus: The Future of Lamborghini

The Lamborghini Revuelto represents a new era of V12 power, combining traditional performance with cutting-edge technology. The electrification of the front axle, lightweight chassis design, and advanced transmission system mark a significant shift in Lamborghini’s approach to performance and innovation.

With a weight distribution of 44:56 front to rear, the Revuelto maintains a balanced and agile driving experience, improving on the Aventador’s distribution. The suspension setup has been refined, adopting conventional struts and magnetorheological dampers for optimal handling and comfort.

The Lamborghini Revuelto is not just a car; it’s a statement of Lamborghini’s commitment to pushing boundaries and redefining the limits of performance. With its combination of raw power, electrification, and advanced engineering, the Revuelto is a true masterpiece of automotive excellence.
