Land Rover Defender Review 2024, Price & Specs

The Land Rover Defender has always been known for its rugged utility and off-road capabilities. However, with the latest model, Land Rover has managed to strike a perfect balance between luxury and functionality in its interior design.

The interior of the Land Rover Defender is a nod to the original model, with exposed sections of body color and star-head bolts that evoke a sense of nostalgia. The dashboard is a broad slab with grab handles, reminiscent of the classic Defender, but the material quality and fit and finish of the construction elevate it to a new level of sophistication.

While the interior may not be as plush as a Range Rover or Land Rover Discovery, it surpasses competitors like the Jeep Wrangler and Toyota Land Cruiser in terms of material choices and overall ambiance. The cabin feels spacious and airy, with ample room for passengers and cargo.

The driving position in the Land Rover Defender is upright and accommodating, with excellent visibility all around. The large windows and door mirrors provide strong side visibility, although rear vision is slightly hindered by the tailgate. Rear passengers are treated to comfortable seats and plenty of head and legroom, with the option to add two additional seats in the boot for extra seating capacity.

The 2025 model year update has brought new heated and cooled seats with winged headrests, as well as a broader range of interior trim materials to choose from. The infotainment system in the Defender has also received a major upgrade, with the new Pivi Pro system being on par with the best in the industry. The system is intuitive to use, with physical dials for climate control and a touchscreen that responds quickly and is laid out sensibly.

Overall, the Land Rover Defender offers a perfect blend of luxury and utility in its interior design. With spacious seating, high-quality materials, and advanced technology features, the Defender is a top contender in the luxury SUV market.
