Nio is gearing up for the launch event of the facelifted ES6 and EC6 models, set to take place online in just two days. The Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer has announced that the event will commence at 7:30 pm Beijing time on May 16, with a live video streaming session starting at 3:00 pm on the same day.
The decision to host the launch event online only reflects a growing trend in the EV market, with companies like Firefly also opting for virtual events to save costs. This move comes as Nio aims to achieve a single-quarter profit in the fourth quarter of this year, a goal that aligns with its recent focus on streamlining operations.
Customers can already pre-order the facelifted ES6 and EC6, along with the ET5 and ET5 Touring, which will be officially launched on May 25. Show cars of the updated models are available at Nio showrooms, offering a glimpse of the luxurious, smarter, and safer features that these vehicles will offer.
While the prices for the facelifted models have not been disclosed, the previous variants were priced competitively in the market. The ES6 and EC6 have already garnered a significant customer base, leading the premium all-electric SUV market in China.
The updated models promise enhanced design, space, handling, and intelligence, with notable changes to the interior features. Nio has introduced a horizontal center screen and its own Shenji autonomous driving chip, enhancing the driving experience for users.
As the launch event approaches, anticipation is building for the unveiling of the facelifted ES6 and EC6 models. With a focus on innovation and customer satisfaction, Nio continues to push the boundaries of electric vehicle technology, setting new standards in the industry.
