Leapmotor, a Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) maker, has unveiled its latest model, the B10, at the 2024 Guangzhou auto show. This all-electric SUV marks the debut of Leapmotor’s B-series, which is set to include a total of three models by 2025.

The B10 is the first vehicle to be built on Leapmotor’s Leap 3.5 architecture, showcasing the company’s commitment to innovation and advancement in the electric vehicle market. With a focus on targeting the world’s largest market segment, the B-series will encompass a diverse range of products, including SUVs, sedans, and hatchbacks.

Equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip, the B10’s cockpit boasts cutting-edge technology. The model also features a LiDAR for its intelligent driving system, setting it apart from its competitors. With a battery range of over 600 kilometers, the B10 offers a practical and efficient driving experience for consumers.

In terms of size, the B10 is a compact SUV comparable to the BMW X1, positioning it to compete with models such as the Aito M5 and Nio Onvo L60. Leapmotor has announced that the B10 will be priced between RMB 100,000 ($13,840) and RMB 150,000, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious consumers. The company plans for a global launch of the B10 in the coming year.

Founded in 2015, Leapmotor has quickly established itself as a key player in the Chinese electric vehicle market. With a lineup that includes models like the T03, C01, C10, C11, and C16, Leapmotor has demonstrated its commitment to offering a diverse range of electric vehicles to meet consumer demand.

Looking ahead, Leapmotor has set an ambitious sales target of 500,000 units for 2025. To meet this goal, the company is ramping up production capacity, with plans to open a new plant in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province. Additionally, Leapmotor is considering building a third plant in Jinhua, which would further increase its total design capacity to 1 million units by the end of next year.

The B10 represents a significant milestone for Leapmotor and is poised to make a splash in the competitive electric SUV market. With its advanced technology, practical features, and competitive pricing, the B10 is set to be a top contender in the electric vehicle industry.
