Leapmotor and Grimaldi Group Celebrate Inaugural Delivery of “GRANDE TIANJIN” to Europe
Shanghai (Gasgoo)- In a momentous occasion on August 8, Chinese new energy vehicle manufacturer Leapmotor and European shipping giant Grimaldi Group came together in Shanghai for a naming and inaugural delivery ceremony of the “GRANDE TIANJIN”. This event marks a significant milestone in the growing strategic partnership between the two companies, as the purpose-built car carrier prepares to set sail for Europe with over 2,500 Leapmotor vehicles on board.

CEO of Leapmotor International, Xin Tianshu, emphasized the significance of this moment as a testament to China’s EV innovation making waves on a global scale, with Leapmotor leading the charge. Through strong partnerships like the one with Grimaldi, Leapmotor has expanded its presence to over 30 countries and regions, bolstered by a global network of more than 1,500 sales and service outlets, and has successfully delivered over 800,000 vehicles to date.
Grimaldi Group has been a pivotal logistics partner for Leapmotor since 2022, providing a monthly capacity of up to 22,500 Car Equivalent Units (CEUs) for roll-on/roll-off shipments from Asia to Europe, ensuring a stable and extensive transport capacity for Leapmotor’s overseas operations.
By the end of July 2025, Leapmotor’s cumulative sales for the year had reached 271,793 units, marking a remarkable year-on-year increase of 149%—the highest in the company’s history. In July alone, Leapmotor delivered 50,129 vehicles across its product lineup.
Having initiated its international expansion in 2024, Leapmotor’s global portfolio now includes the compact T03 and mid-size C10 models, available in both BEV (battery electric vehicle) and REEV (range-extended electric vehicle) configurations. Noteworthy is the upcoming launch of Leapmotor’s first B-series global model—the Leapmotor B10—scheduled for September 2025. Built to international standards, the B10 embodies Leapmotor’s commitment to providing accessible, state-of-the-art EV technology to a global audience.
