Leapmotor, a prominent electric vehicle manufacturer, has recently unveiled the first official images of its latest creation, the B01 electric sedan. The highly anticipated debut of the B01 is set to take place at the 2025 Shanghai auto show, scheduled to kick off on April 23.

Designed with a younger demographic in mind, the B01 is poised to make a bold statement in the electric vehicle market. The sleek and stylish sedan is expected to turn heads at the Shanghai auto show, where it will be showcased for the first time. The event, known as the 21st Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition, will run from April 23 to May 2, with press days scheduled for April 23-24.

Leapmotor’s booth at the auto show will be located at 6B11 in Hall 6.2H, where the company will host a media briefing on April 23 from 10:00-10:20 am Beijing time. The B01 will mark the second addition to Leapmotor’s B-series lineup, following the successful launch of the B10 SUV earlier in April.

Measuring 4,770 mm in length, 1,880 mm in width, and 1,490 mm in height, the B01 boasts a wheelbase of 2,735 mm. The electric sedan is powered by a single motor and offers two motor options with peak power outputs of 132 kW and 160 kW, respectively.

In comparison, Leapmotor’s existing sedan, the C01, has proven to be a popular choice among consumers, with prices starting at RMB 139,800 ($19,140). The C01, a mid to large-size sedan, measures 5,050 mm in length, 1,902 mm in width, and 1,515 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,930 mm.

With the introduction of the B-series, Leapmotor aims to target a market segment with lower price points and higher sales potential. The company’s management has expressed confidence in achieving monthly sales exceeding 40,000 units of the B-series.

In March, Leapmotor reported impressive delivery figures, with 37,095 vehicles sold, marking a significant increase from the previous year. Looking ahead, the company is setting ambitious sales targets, aiming to reach between 500,000 to 600,000 units in 2025. This follows a successful year in 2024, during which Leapmotor delivered 293,724 vehicles, representing a substantial growth in sales.

As the automotive industry continues to embrace electric vehicles, Leapmotor stands at the forefront of innovation, offering a diverse range of models to cater to evolving consumer preferences. The B01 electric sedan is poised to make a significant impact at the 2025 Shanghai auto show, showcasing Leapmotor’s commitment to excellence in the electric vehicle sector.
