Li Auto, a leading electric vehicle manufacturer, experienced a significant decline in deliveries of its L series extended-range electric vehicles (EREVs) in August. However, the company’s Li Mega electric MPV continued its upward trend, nearing a record high in monthly deliveries.

In August, Li Auto’s lineup, which includes the Li L6, Li L7, Li L8, Li L9 in the L series, Li Mega, and the newly launched Li i8 pure-electric SUV, achieved a total of 28,529 vehicle deliveries. Among these models, the Li L6 emerged as the top-selling model, delivering 11,217 units. Despite its popularity, the Li L6 experienced a significant year-on-year decline of 54.95% in August, marking a third consecutive month of decline.

The Li L7 delivered 5,381 units in August, down 47.79% year-on-year, while the Li L8 and Li L9 delivered 2,639 units and 3,959 units, respectively, also experiencing declines in deliveries compared to the previous year. However, the Li Mega delivered 3,121 units in August, representing a 318.36% year-on-year increase and its second-highest monthly total on record.

The company’s newest addition, the Li i8 pure-electric SUV, made a strong entrance in August with 2,212 units delivered. Launched on July 29 and beginning deliveries on August 20, the Li i8 aims to deliver 8,000 to 10,000 units by the end of September, showcasing promising potential for growth.

Despite the challenges faced by some of its EREV models, Li Auto remains optimistic about the future as it continues to innovate and expand its product lineup. With a focus on sustainable mobility solutions, Li Auto is poised to make a significant impact in the electric vehicle market.

Overall, Li Auto’s August deliveries reflect a mix of challenges and successes, highlighting the company’s resilience and adaptability in a competitive industry. As it continues to push boundaries and drive innovation, Li Auto is well-positioned for continued growth and success in the evolving electric vehicle market.
