Li Auto’s main-selling model, the Li L6 SUV, has been a key contributor to the company’s success, representing 48.19 percent of deliveries in the January-April period. The updated L-series EREVs, including the Li L6, were launched on May 8, with deliveries beginning on May 9.
According to Li Xinyang, the product line head at Li Auto, the refreshed Li L6 has already seen over 10,000 units delivered, averaging about one unit every two minutes. This model, along with other L-series models like the Li L7, Li L8, and Li L9, as well as the Li Mega MPV BEV, make up the company’s product lineup.
The Li L6 comes in Pro and Max trims, with prices starting at RMB 249,800 ($34,750) and RMB 279,800, respectively. Despite being the best-selling model for Li Auto, recent reports suggest that the updated Li L6 may not be meeting sales expectations.
In response to lower-than-expected orders following the release of the updated Li L6, Li Auto has adjusted its 2025 sales target from 700,000 units to 640,000 units. This adjustment was made after April deliveries revealed that the Li L6 contributed 49.37 percent of the company’s monthly deliveries, with the Li L7 coming in second at 23.87 percent.
While the Li L8 and Li L9 also saw significant deliveries in April, the overall performance of the updated Li L6 has prompted a reevaluation of sales targets for the year. Despite these challenges, Li Auto remains committed to delivering innovative electric vehicles to the market.
Overall, the Li L6 continues to play a critical role in Li Auto’s product lineup, but ongoing market dynamics will require the company to adapt and refine its strategies to meet changing consumer demands.
