Lucid (LCID) extends $7,500 EV credit offer for the Gravity SUV

Lucid Motors, the electric vehicle manufacturer, is extending the $7,500 federal EV tax credit for its new Gravity SUV despite the upcoming expiration of the incentive at the end of September. The company is introducing the Lucid Advantage Credit program, which promises to continue offering the $7,500 credit for customers who lease the Gravity SUV until the end of the year.

Customers who place an order by September 30 and lease the Gravity SUV between October 1 and December 31 will be eligible for the full $7,500 credit. This initiative is aimed at ensuring that lease customers of the Lucid Gravity do not miss out on the benefit due to delivery constraints.

The Gravity SUV boasts impressive features such as a driving range of 450 miles, three-row seating, 828 hp, and a performance that rivals that of a sports car. Additionally, owners can take advantage of ultra-fast charging speeds by using Tesla Superchargers to charge their vehicles.

Claiming the $7,500 credit is hassle-free for customers, as they will receive the full value of the credit without any additional steps required, irrespective of government incentives.

Despite recent claims in an Automotive News report suggesting that Lucid had only nine Gravity SUV registrations in its first six months, the company has refuted these claims. Lucid stated that deliveries of the Gravity SUV are well into the three-digit range, dismissing the report as completely inaccurate.

In response to Lucid’s extension of the $7,500 credit for the Gravity SUV, other automakers may follow suit by offering similar incentives on their electric vehicles. Many brands are currently providing significant discounts on EVs leading up to the federal tax credit deadline.

In addition to the Lucid Advantage Credit, the company is also offering over $13,000 off 2025 Air models with lease options starting from just $509 per month. This makes it an attractive time for customers to consider purchasing or leasing a Lucid electric vehicle.

Lucid’s commitment to extending the $7,500 credit for the Gravity SUV underscores its dedication to making electric vehicles more accessible and appealing to consumers.
