Lucid’s electric SUV, the Gravity, is making waves in the automotive industry with its impressive performance and spacious interior. With a driving range of up to 450 miles and ultra-fast charging capabilities, the Gravity offers a combination of power and practicality that rivals even some of the most popular SUVs on the market.
One of the most striking features of the Lucid Gravity is its speed. The Grand Touring trim boasts up to 845 hp, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds. However, the Dream Edition takes things to the next level with dual electric motors producing a whopping 1,070 hp. In a recent test by Car and Driver, the Gravity covered a quarter-mile in just 10.6 seconds, outpacing a Chevrolet Corvette Z06 to 150 mph by nearly three seconds.
According to Car and Driver, the Gravity exceeded expectations in every acceleration metric, reaching 30 mph in 1.4 seconds, 70 mph in 3.7 seconds, and topping 100 mph in just 5.9 seconds. This impressive performance makes the Lucid Gravity the fastest SUV they have ever tested, surpassing competitors like the Rivian Tri-Motor Max, BMW iX M60, and Mercedes-AMG EQE53 SUV.
In a drag race organized by Hagerty, the Gravity Dream Edition went head-to-head against the Audi RS Q8 Performance, Range Rover Sport SV, Porsche Macan Turbo Electric, Rivian R1S Quad, and Porsche Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid. The result was a three-way tie between the Gravity, the Porsche Panamera Turbo, and the Rivian R1S Quad, all hitting the quarter-mile mark in just 10.5 seconds.
The Lucid Gravity is available for order starting at $94,900 in the US, with a lower-priced Touring trim set to launch later this year at $79,900. With its combination of speed, range, and interior space, the Lucid Gravity is setting a new standard for high-performance electric SUVs in the market.
