MG has just unveiled the new MG4, a compact sedan that marks the brand’s entry into the new energy vehicle market. The sleek and sporty design of the MG4 draws inspiration from the acclaimed MG Cyberster, featuring a closed front grille, distinctive headlights, and a low-slung, wide body. Available in vibrant colors like Donglai Purple and Qingbo Cui, the MG4 measures 4395mm in length, 1842mm in width, and 1551mm in height, with a spacious interior thanks to its 2750mm wheelbase.

The interior of the MG4 is minimalist and high-tech, featuring a two-tone color scheme, a modern dual-spoke steering wheel, and a 12.8-inch suspended central screen. An optional upgrade will include a larger 15.6-inch screen powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip. The car also offers convenient features like 50W wireless charging and the advanced MG×OPPO Zhixing car-machine interconnection system for intelligent functionalities.

Powering the MG4 is a highly efficient six-in-one electric motor that delivers a maximum output of 120 kW and 250 Nm of torque. It comes with a lithium iron phosphate battery that offers range options of 437 km and 537 km, designed to cater to diverse driving needs.

This launch represents a significant milestone for MG as it solidifies its commitment to sustainable mobility and innovation in the new energy vehicle sector. Pre-orders for the MG4 will begin on August 5th in the Chinese market, with a potential market launch on September 5th. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting new addition to MG’s lineup.
