In 2024, the HIMA models, a part of Huawei’s Harmony Intelligent Mobility Alliance, achieved a milestone by delivering 444,956 units throughout the year. This marked a significant achievement for the business, showcasing strong growth and performance in the automotive industry.
December proved to be a standout month for HIMA, with a record delivery of 49,474 units, representing a 17.99 percent increase from the previous month. This surge in deliveries highlighted the popularity and demand for the models under the HIMA umbrella.
Under the HIMA business, Huawei collaborated with local automakers to introduce four new brands, namely Aito from Seres Group, Luxeed from Chery, Stelato from BAIC Group, and Maextro from Anhui Jianghuai Automobile. These collaborative efforts led to the launch of six models, including Aito M5, Aito M7, Aito M9, Luxeed S7, Luxeed R7, and Stelato S9.
One of the latest additions to the lineup is the Maextro S800, which was made available for pre-sales in November 2024, with the launch date yet to be determined. The Aito M7 emerged as a top performer in December, delivering 14,150 units and totaling 197,000 units for the entire year.
The Stelato S9 also made a significant impact with 7,494 units delivered in December. The Luxeed R7, launched in September, garnered a total of 28,969 deliveries since its introduction. The average selling price of HIMA models in December was approximately RMB 400,000 ($54,810), reflecting the premium positioning of these vehicles.
Looking ahead, HIMA plans to expand its model offerings, with the aim of surpassing 10 models by 2025, nearly doubling the current lineup. This strategic move aligns with the brand’s vision for growth and innovation in the competitive automotive market.
In conclusion, the success of HIMA models in 2024 underscores the brand’s commitment to delivering high-quality, innovative vehicles that resonate with consumers. With a strong performance in deliveries and plans for future expansion, HIMA is poised to make a significant impact in the automotive industry in the coming years.
