New Changan CS75 Plus enters China as SUV for 17,750 USD

The latest iteration of the Changan CS75 Plus has made its debut in the Chinese market as a budget-friendly family crossover option. Priced at 121,900 yuan (approximately 17,750 USD), this 4th generation model comes equipped with an 8-speed automatic gearbox and a high-tech interior inspired by the MBUX-Hyperscreen.

Changan has seen immense success with the CS75 Plus, with over 130,000 units sold between January and August 2024. To meet the continued demand for this popular SUV, the company has introduced the new and improved 4th generation CS75 Plus.

The exterior of the CS75 Plus features a fresh design language, characterized by bold headlights, a distinctive trapeze-ed grille painted in the body color, and a large air intake on the front bumper. The car also boasts retractable door handles, a sleek flat roofline, and an eye-catching LED taillight strip at the rear. Riding on R19 wheels, the CS75 Plus measures 4770/1910/1695 mm with a wheelbase of 2800 mm.

Inside, the CS75 Plus showcases a minimalist design with a futuristic touch. The center console and tunnel are devoid of physical buttons, replaced instead by a cluster of three screens – a 10.25-inch LCD instrument panel, a 14.6-inch main screen, and a 12.3-inch front passenger screen, reminiscent of the Mercedes-Benz MBUX Hyperscreen. The gear shifter sits behind a two-spoke steering wheel, echoing the design elements found in Mercedes cars.

Furthermore, the CS75 Plus offers two wireless phone charging pads, a zero-gravity front passenger seat that can be adjusted for optimal comfort and posture, and an electrically adjustable leg support. The vehicle is equipped with an L2 driving assistance system, featuring autonomous parking and adaptive cruise control.

Powering the CS75 Plus is a 1.5-liter engine producing 141 kW (189 hp) and 310 Nm of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic gearbox with a torque converter. In December, Changan will introduce a variant of the CS75 Plus with a 2-liter engine option.

Available in two trim levels, the 4th generation Changan CS75 Plus is priced between 121,900 and 129,900 yuan (approximately 17,350 – 18,500 USD), making it an affordable yet feature-packed option for families on the go. With its sleek design, advanced technology, and competitive pricing, the CS75 Plus continues to solidify its position as a top choice in the crossover segment.
