  • Reports from local media indicate that Onvo president Shen Fei has set a target for L90 deliveries to surpass 10,000 units in August.
  • Previously, only Nio Inc’s ES6 and Onvo L60 models have achieved monthly deliveries exceeding 10,000 units.

The L90, Onvo’s flagship SUV model, is expected to set a record for the highest monthly deliveries in Nio Inc’s history during its first month of deliveries.

According to reports, Onvo president Shen Fei has instructed the team to achieve over 10,000 L90 deliveries in August.

If this target is met, the Onvo L90 could become the top-selling model in a single month under the Nio Inc umbrella.

The ES6 SUV currently holds the record for the highest monthly delivery of a Nio Inc model, with 11,118 units delivered in July 2023.

The L60, Onvo’s first model launched in September 2024, delivered 10,528 units in December last year.

Onvo officially launched the L90 on July 31 and commenced deliveries on August 1.

The electric SUV comes with a competitive starting price of RMB 265,800 ($36,860) including the battery pack.

The Onvo sub-brand made a significant number of vehicles in advance, facilitating rapid delivery of the L90 model.

In its first 72 hours of delivery, the Onvo L90 sold 1,976 units, ranking as the third-best-selling large SUV in China for the week of July 28 to August 3.

A video shared by Shen Fei on Weibo showcased Nio’s factory operating round the clock to ship L90 vehicles.

Nio has not disclosed specific order numbers for the L90 model.

During a media briefing, Nio founder William Li mentioned that orders for the L90 exceeded expectations, although Shen Fei expressed some reservations regarding its performance compared to the L60.

Onvo’s president confirmed that the production line for the L90 is running 24/7 to accelerate delivery efforts.
