The Nissan Ariya Nismo: A Sporty Electric SUV

For those looking for a high-performance electric SUV, the Nissan Ariya Nismo is here to impress. While some may compare it to the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N or the Kia EV6 GT, Nissan insists that its true rivals are the Volkswagen ID 4 GTX and ID 5 GTX, as well as the dual-motor version of the Kia EV6.

Priced at £56,620 with no additional options available, the Ariya Nismo packs a punch with its upgraded features that set it apart from its standard counterparts.

Equipped with the same 215bhp front and rear motors as the standard dual-motor e-4orce models, the Nismo version unleashes their full potential, delivering a total of 430bhp. In Nismo drive mode, power distribution can send up to 60% to the rear wheels, enhancing the driving experience.

Engineers have fine-tuned the suspension for improved performance, with increased spring and damper rates along with enhanced anti-roll bars. The rear rebound damping has been significantly boosted by 67%, aimed at enhancing turn-in capabilities. Surprisingly, the dampers remain passive, providing a unique driving feel.

Complementing its performance upgrades, the Nismo rides on custom 20-inch Enkei wheels fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport EV tires for optimal grip and handling.

Visually, the Ariya Nismo features sporty accents such as deeper bumpers, side skirts, a distinctive ducktail spoiler, and vibrant red accents that highlight its performance-oriented design.
