Beijing (Gasgoo)- On February 12, 2025, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. announced its January 2025 performance in the Chinese market. The company’s total China sales, encompassing both passenger and light commercial vehicles, reached 45,418 units in the month.

However, it’s noteworthy that Nissan’s January 2025 sales in the country represent a 30.72% decline compared to the same period last year, where sales stood at 65,553 units.

In the first month of 2025, Dongfeng Nissan, which includes the Nissan, Venucia, and INFINITI brands, achieved sales of 43,623 vehicles, down 29.79% year-over-year. Within Dongfeng Nissan, the Nissan brand alone reported sales of 41,022 vehicles in the month.

Nissan’s light-duty commercial vehicle segment in China, represented by Zhengzhou Nissan, recorded sales of 1,795 units in January this year, which almost halved from that of a year ago. Zhengzhou Nissan’s flagship pickup model, the RICH 6, achieved sales of 746 units in January 2025. Additionally, the joint venture’s key model, the Z9, officially rolled off the production line in the past month.

Despite the decline in sales, Nissan remains a key player in the Chinese automotive market, with a strong presence across various vehicle segments. The company’s focus on innovation and quality continues to drive its success in the region.

As Nissan navigates through market challenges, including changing consumer preferences and economic fluctuations, the brand remains committed to delivering top-notch vehicles that meet the needs of Chinese customers.

With a diverse portfolio of brands under its umbrella, including Venucia and INFINITI, Nissan is well-positioned to cater to different market segments and maintain its competitive edge in China.
