Onvo, a sub-brand of Nio Inc (NYSE: NIO), is gearing up to showcase its flagship SUV, the L90 seven-seater version, at stores across China. The display vehicles are set to arrive at Onvo stores, with visitors able to experience the model starting at 10:00 am Beijing time on August 29. The L90, which was officially launched on July 31, has been generating significant buzz due to its large electric SUV design and innovative features.

Currently, deliveries of the L90 are underway for the six-seat version, with the seven-seat variant expected to hit the roads by late September. The arrival of the seven-seater show cars coincides with the opening of the 2025 Chengdu auto show, where Onvo will have a dedicated booth for attendees to explore the L90 and its zero-gravity seats.

The L90’s launch has been a major success for Nio Inc, driven by aggressive pricing and a tight delivery schedule. In fact, the demand for the L90 has been so strong that Nio Inc is projected to see a surge in new orders in August, with an estimated 57,000 units expected to be ordered. This surge in demand is largely attributed to the popularity of the L90 SUV and its unique features.

Deutsche Bank recently released a research note predicting that Nio Inc’s August deliveries could reach 32,000 units, with Nio, Onvo, and Firefly brands contributing 11,000, 17,000, and 4,000 units respectively. The success of the L90 has also helped bring more attention to Onvo’s first model, the L60 midsize SUV.

In a recent social media post, Nio founder, chairman, and CEO William Li shared a video showcasing completed L60 cars autonomously driving within the factory campus. This demonstration highlights the brand’s commitment to innovation and technological advancement in the electric vehicle space.

Overall, the arrival of the L90 seven-seater show cars at Onvo stores marks an exciting milestone for the brand and Nio Inc as a whole. With the Chengdu auto show in full swing, visitors will have the opportunity to experience the cutting-edge features of the L90 and witness the brand’s dedication to delivering high-quality electric vehicles to consumers.
