Rolls-Royce Celebrates 60 Years of Goldfinger with Special One-Off Phantom III
Rolls-Royce has paid homage to the iconic James Bond film Goldfinger by creating a stunning one-off Phantom III. This special edition vehicle, commissioned by a dedicated Bond fan in the UK, combines the classic design of a 1937 Phantom with modern engineering and craftsmanship.
The Phantom Goldfinger features unique touches that set it apart from any other Rolls-Royce on the road. From a solid gold bar in the center console to a gold golf putter in the boot lid, every detail has been meticulously crafted to reflect the spirit of the iconic film.
Inside the car, passengers will find a pull-out picnic table with a map of Fort Knox engraved in 22-carat gold inlay, as well as a Starlight Headliner that mirrors the constellation above the Furka Pass during filming. The 007 logo is even projected into the boot whenever it is opened, adding a touch of movie magic to every journey.
Lead Rolls-Royce Bespoke designer Nick Rhodes explained, “We wanted to create more than just a replica of the original car from the film. We wanted to tell a story and pay tribute to the timeless appeal of Goldfinger in a sophisticated way.”
While the temptation to make everything gold was present, Rhodes and his team opted for a more refined approach, ensuring that every detail of the Phantom Goldfinger was thoughtfully considered.
