Stellantis Announces Key Leadership Changes in China Operations

Stellantis, a leading global automotive company, recently made significant leadership changes in its China operations. Mr. Xin Tianshu has been appointed as the Chief Operating Officer of Stellantis China and will also lead the Stellantis-Leapmotor strategic alliance. Additionally, he will continue in his role as the CEO of the Leapmotor International joint venture.

The announcement, which took effect on February 26, 2025, also introduced Mr. Grégoire Olivier as the Head of China Market Strategy and Senior Advisor for Stellantis. Both Xin and Olivier will report to Mr. Maxime Picat, Stellantis Executive Vice President and Interim Executive Committee Member.

Xin Tianshu brings a wealth of experience to his new role, with over 30 years of corporate management experience spanning various industries. His expertise includes operations, strategy, business development, M&A, sales, and marketing. Since November 2023, he has successfully led the establishment of the Leapmotor International joint venture as its CEO.

Prior to his current position, Mr. Xin played a pivotal role in Stellantis China’s corporate planning, business expansion, product strategy, joint ventures, and government affairs as a member of the China Executive Committee. Before the formation of Stellantis in 2021, he was responsible for overseeing strategy and partnerships for Groupe PSA in China. Throughout his career, he has held senior management positions at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), Visteon, and IHS, focusing on strategy, marketing, and business operations.

These leadership changes reflect Stellantis’ commitment to driving growth and innovation in the Chinese market. By appointing seasoned professionals like Xin Tianshu and Grégoire Olivier to key roles, the company aims to strengthen its presence and strategic partnerships in China.
