Tata Elxsi and Suzuki have joined forces to establish the ‘Suzuki-Tata Elxsi Cloud HIL Center’ in Trivandrum, India. This state-of-the-art facility marks Suzuki’s first full-vehicle cloud-enabled Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) validation center and represents a significant milestone in the Tata Elxsi-Suzuki partnership. The inauguration of this center follows the successful establishment of the Offshore Development Center (ODC) in Pune, showcasing the commitment to advancing automotive technology and innovation.

The Cloud HIL Center is specifically designed for early-stage, full-vehicle simulation and validation through a cloud-native infrastructure. This cutting-edge facility allows Suzuki’s development and test teams to remotely access HIL infrastructure integrated with Electronic Control Units (ECUs), thereby reducing the reliance on physical prototypes and accelerating validation cycles across R&D centers globally. This strategic move aligns with Suzuki’s vision for Software-Defined Vehicles (SDVs), emphasizing a shift towards software-led, scalable development.

Tata Elxsi’s unparalleled expertise in automotive Verification and Validation (V&V), test automation, and simulation plays a pivotal role in the success of the Cloud HIL Center. The facility is poised to drive transformative advancements in development speed, quality, and future readiness, setting a new standard in the automotive industry. As part of Suzuki’s global “SDV Right” strategy for Electrical and Electronic (E/E) Virtual Development, the center will play a crucial role in delivering continuous integration, faster release cycles, and enhanced system reliability.

This collaboration between Tata Elxsi and Suzuki signifies a strategic step towards long-term engineering collaboration for future mobility programs worldwide. The Cloud HIL Center complements the existing Pune ODC and underscores a shared commitment to sustainable and smarter mobility solutions. Katsuhiro Kato, Director and Executive Vice President of Suzuki, expressed optimism about the partnership, highlighting the potential for significant contributions to next-generation mobility.

Manoj Raghavan, CEO and Managing Director of Tata Elxsi, extended gratitude to Suzuki Motor Corporation for their continued trust and support. He emphasized the center’s role in advancing SDV-focused collaboration and driving high-impact localization of global vehicle programs. The Cloud HIL Center is designed to evolve with next-gen architectures, providing a modular, future-ready foundation that supports agile integration, system continuity, and long-term value creation.

In conclusion, the inauguration of the Suzuki-Tata Elxsi Cloud HIL Center signifies a significant leap towards innovation and excellence in the automotive industry. This collaboration between Tata Elxsi and Suzuki underscores a shared vision for sustainable mobility and technological advancement. The center is poised to revolutionize the development of next-generation vehicles, paving the way for a more efficient and connected automotive future.
