Tesla created a market for aftermarket steering wheel stalks – for real

Tesla has recently made a bold move by removing the traditional stalks from the steering wheel in their latest vehicles. This decision has sparked a new trend in the aftermarket industry, with companies like Enhance offering attachable stalks for Tesla Model 3 owners.

The removal of stalks in Tesla vehicles, starting with the new Model S and Model X, has caused a divide among Tesla drivers. While some appreciate the sleek and modern look of a stalkless steering wheel, others are hesitant to make the switch without the familiar controls. However, for those who prefer the convenience of traditional stalks, aftermarket solutions like Enhance’s attachable stalks provide a compromise.

Enhance’s attachable stalks for the Tesla Model 3 offer all the original functions of the stalks, with the exception of back-and-forth motions. The installation process is simple, as the stalks communicate wirelessly through the car’s OBD port with Enhance’s communication units. Priced at $344, the package includes everything needed to retrofit your Model 3 with the convenience of traditional stalks.

While we haven’t personally tested Enhance’s attachable stalks, the product fills a niche in the market for Tesla drivers who prefer the tactile feedback of physical controls. As Tesla continues to push the boundaries of self-driving technology, it will be interesting to see how aftermarket solutions like Enhance’s attachable stalks evolve to meet the changing needs of Tesla drivers.

If you’re a Tesla owner who misses the tactile feel of traditional stalks, Enhance’s attachable stalks could be the perfect solution for you. Let us know in the comments below if you would consider using a product like this to enhance your driving experience.
